On January 28th the RCRage traveled to the Marcus Whitman to play in the Marcus Whitman annual indoor soccer tournament. The team coached by Dave Gregg was made up of freshmen Nathaniel Gregg, Eli Vitale and Ryon Adam along with sophomores Ryan Fisher, Colton Ginther, Cody Sherman, Anthony Losurdo and Ethan Ufholz.
The RCRage met up with North Rose-Wolcott to start off the day and easily won their first match. The next opponent on the agenda was the hosting team, Marcus Whitman. The Marcus Whitman team proved to be a very physical team, but by the time the match ended the score was 4-0 and the RCRage had claimed their second victory.
The RCRage cruised through their next two matches with decisive wins over both PenYan and Waterloo to wind up going into the finals seeded in first place. North Rose-Wolcott ended up beating Marcus Whitman 2-1 to take the second place seed.
As the finals began the RCRage saw Colton Ginther in the net. Colton had just posted 3 straight shutouts in his prior matches and was playing flawlessly. The rest of the team moved the ball like there was no tomorrow and by the time the twenty-minute clock had sounded the RCRage had again defeated the North Rose-Wolcott team to claim their 2nd indoor championship of the season!
The boys scored 52 Goals in five matches and were scored on only two times!
